Introduction Script for Enumerator
Hello, my name is [enumerator_name_t]. I am an enumerator from CASN, the service provider supporting UNHCR, UNICEF, and WFP for this assessment.
We are conducting a survey on behalf of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), UNICEF, and the World Food Programme (WFP).
The purpose of this survey is to gain a better understanding of the living conditions and vulnerabilities of Syrian and other refugees in Lebanon. You have been randomly selected to participate.
You will be asked a series of questions related to you and/or your family, including topics such as living conditions, income sources, debt, schooling, expenditures, and coping strategies. Some of the questions will involve personal information such as your name, the names of your dependents, your address, and your phone number in Lebanon.
Your participation is entirely voluntary. You may choose not to answer any question or stop the interview at any time. However, we hope you will take part, as the information you provide is crucial for informing humanitarian planning and improving assistance programs.
To ensure coordinated protection and assistance, some of the collected information — including personal data — may be shared with trusted humanitarian agencies. This will be done strictly for the purpose of meeting basic needs such as shelter, food, non-food items, medical care, education, and protection services.
Please note:
* The responses you provide will not affect your eligibility for humanitarian assistance in any way.
* All collected data will be handled confidentially and will not be shared beyond the scope of this assessment.
* Data protection measures are in place in line with international standards to prevent unauthorized use or disclosure.
Declaration:
To be signed by the Principal Applicant and all adult household members (via electronic signature or a checkbox):
> I hereby authorize UNHCR, UNICEF, and WFP to share my personal data with relevant humanitarian partners strictly for the purpose of improving humanitarian planning and assistance in Lebanon.
If you have no questions, may I begin the interview?
